TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
I approach teaching as a balance of intellectual rigor and care. My goal is to help students understand how the world works and their place within it, while also developing the thinking skills and confidence to reach this understanding for themselves.
Learning is effortful and often uncertain. I see my role as an instructor and mentor is to make this challenge achievable, meaningful, and even enjoyable!
My teaching is grounded in professionalism and kindness. I recognize students as individuals, and design learning environments that are structured, respectful, and compassionate. By pairing clear expectations with support, I strive to create classrooms where students are challenged, supported, and encouraged to take ownership of their learning.
