The Strzalkowski Lab
STUDYING SENSORIMOTOR PHYSIOLOGY
AND SCIENCE EDUCATION
Welcome to the Strzalkowski Lab.
This website highlights my work as a scientist and educator. Here you will find an overview of
the courses I teach, the research we pursue, and the students and colleagues who make it meaningful.
Mount Royal University is situated on an ancient and storied land that until recently, was occupied exclusively by people indigenous to this place. With gratitude and reciprocity, The Strzalkowski Lab acknowledges the relationships to the land and all beings, and the songs, stories and teachings of the Siksika Nation, the Piikani Nation, the Kainai Nation, the Îethka Stoney Nakoda Nation (consisting of the Chiniki, Bearspaw and Goodstoney Nations), the people of the Tsuut’ina Nation, and the Métis.
I welcome students and trainees from diverse backgrounds and am committed to equitable mentorship and fair evaluation in both my teaching and research supervision.
I strive to create learning and research environments that are respectful, inclusive, and intellectually fulfilling for all students. Students and trainees bring different experiences, skills, and goals to the classroom and laboratory, and my approach to teaching and mentorship is to embrace these differences, emphasize clear expectations, support individual growth, and affirm that curiosity and effort matter more than prior advantage.
